If you find yourself in a situation where you need experienced legal representation to level the playing field and obtain an adequate resolution of your claim, John E. Kardos has practiced law in Athens, Georgia for over 35 years. Our specialty is representing sick and injured people who are running into a brick wall in trying to present their claims for Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, or Social Security Disability. If you are experiencing difficulty with your claim for personal injury arising out of the negligence of another person or entity, or for workers' compensation injury, and/or social security disability, you need someone who specializes in the litigation involved in these areas of the law and who has the necessary experience to successfully represent you. John E. Kardos does not represent insurance companies, corporations or any other large businesses. He only represents individuals who find themselves unsuccessfully trying to present their claims to insurance companies or to the Federal Government in the case of Social Security Disability. We do not draft wills or deeds, handle divorces, or close real estate transactions; we only represent sick and injured people against insurance companies and the United States Government. In over 35 years of trial experience, it is likely that I have successfully resolved client's claims through either settlement or trial with the very insurance company and adjuster with whom you are struggling to obtain a fair result. If you find that you need an experienced attorney to help you with your claim against an insurance company, an adjuster or attorney or the United States Government, give us a call. We will be glad to discuss your problem with you and determine whether or not we can help you with your claim and also, you can determine whether or not you feel that we would be a good fit for you. Our initial conference with you personally is without charge. We look forward to representing you and obtaining a successful resolution of your claim in your favor. GOING FURTHER Almost 100% of the claims in which we represent clients are handled on a contingency fee basis. What that means is that if you hire us to represent you in a claim for Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, or Social Security Disability, there is no retainer which means that you do not pay any upfront money to hire us to represent you. We do not work by the hour and therefore, you have no fear of possibly paying attorney's fees, even if you get an unsuccessful result. The contingency fee means that I am only paid for my representation of a client if and when I successfully conclude their claim. If you hire me and I do not win your claim for you, then you pay me nothing, no matter how much time and effort I have expended on your behalf. When I am successful with your claim, my fee is a percentage of the money that I recover for you. In Social Security and Workers' Compensation claims, that percentage is set by law and is the same for any attorney who represents clients in those type cases. In Personal Injury claims for injuries or death suffered as a result of the negligence of another person or entity, the percentage we charge is the recognized standard percentage throughout the State of Georgia and in fact throughout this country. The important thing for you as a prospective client to understand is that when you are represented on a contingency fee basis, there is no chance that you might throw good money after bad and pay fees to a lawyer, only to get an unsuccessful result. You only pay if your claim is successful and you only pay a percentage of the money received in the claim and then, only after the claim has concluded in your favor. This form of representation is very favorable to clients because it allows people that could not otherwise pay a retainer to obtain the services of an experienced and proven lawyer to represent them without any money upfront and without any possibility of paying attorney's fees despite an unsuccessful result. We are here to help you and look forward to your calling to arrange an appointment so that we can discuss your claims. We truly believe that you, as have thousands of clients over the past 35 years, will be glad that you did.
